We will give you one more guess…………Ok, give up? The answer is:

The Metropolitan Club, the sexy Bar and Grille located in Chestnut Hill, MA. The wildly popular, lounge style, martini bar is well know for its delicious infused vodka’s and cocktail libations. One look at the drink and food menu, one can see why this concept will match, if not exceed the excitement and popularity it has brought to Chestnut Hill and Newton, MA. We welcome The Met Bar to the neighborhood and hope the Back Bay Associations do not give them too hard a time with their licensing and zoning.

20 Brimmer Street Auction Results – SHOCKER

According to two very reliable sources (NOT in the brokerage community), and close friends of Luxury Residential Group, have told us that the Auction at 20 Brimmer Street was unsuccessful and failed to meet the minimum set forth prior to auction day. There were bidders that attended but no one stepped forward with a bid of $4,975,000+5% buyers premium or greater. This is a total SHOCKER to the Boston Real Estate and brokerage community as the auction was highly publicized and well received by the public.

We feel that the developer would have been better off with an absolute auction format rather than setting a reserve. This would have presented the TRUE value of the property. Unfortunately, 20 Brimmer is now valued at, or below the $4,975,000 reserve price point. A risk the developer was willing to take, but did not anticipate happening.

The latest rumor was involving The Clarendon, a new luxury high rise condo development in the heart of the Back Bay and steps to The South End in Boston. It was rumored that the property was going to be sold and made into an all rental project. Through our sources, we have confirmed that this rumor is unequivically UNTRUE. Construction and closings are moving along as scheduled (First quarter 2010) and buyers should have confidence moving forward. Some people may “Also” find this not that interesting, some may love it, either way, it is something to talk about. There is a rumor(Rumor – an opinion put out there with no real source) that Sarah Palin, the former Governor of Alaska may be moving to Rhode Island to settle down.

Now, what will this do for Rhode Island and maybe even Massachusetts Real Estate should it happen? Absolutely nothing what so ever, just thought our readers would find the rumor to be interesting. It will however put Rhode Island on the map for a hot second should it happen.
